eh don't be. graphic novels tend to be like the latter. A physical copy you hold in your hands. It tends to be a longer (much longer) version of comics. though people do upload some online so they you can read them.
"And by its end people will be very pleasantly surprised to realize that the entire story is about a very secondary character" What? The main plot is not about our both lovely Ally and Lisa. You are such a tease !
But nice to hear you have it planned to go for some time
Can't wait for Sunstone to go to print. I gotta buy at least two copies one to read and one to keep safe and hopefully get signed (if I can I can ever make it to a comic-con). I love your work, and you have inspired me to improve my art and tell a story of my own.
I loved the interview, but I have a follow up question. Was the sunstone art the first attempt you did to break out of the artistic black hole, or did you try other things? I don't know what your creative process is like, but for me it's writing. I once wrote about 30 paragraphs for stories, one for each potential story, and it still took me six months to figure out the story to be told.
... I feel kinda stupid I didn't know how professional you were. Sure, you draw amazing and obviously has a lot of experience making comic stuff, but I just wikipedia you and WOW, what merits you've got! And here I thought I'd found a secret bit of webcomic heaven when I stunmbled upon Sunstone.
It is very interesting that something that came from a single image has seriously grown into a real project. I remember following after the first couple of image, then following the rest of your work....
I LOVE the answer you give to the question about "Sex Sells". I love this comic but it's so hard to talk about it to friend and other people without sounding like a perv just looking for naked chicks, so I usualy end up giving an explanation pretty much like that. Yours just sounds better hehe.
