as you may have noticed, both this and nebezial account have been silent recently, hell, i haven't been updating twitter or facebook that much either

reason is simple, i injured my arm/shoulder..connection..thing... i don't fucking know , doctor isn't too sure it seems but assumes it's from drawing too damn much so i have had to slow down a tad.

i'm hoping this will subside son as i am working at a slug's pace...blech

ironically, i can play videogames on my playstation... and i don't feel like gaming....

like the one time i don't feel like gaming...i can do it.

fucking hell!

i may need some of this!

Would epsom salts help? Soaking body parts in epsom salts helps the body fix itself faster. (something about salt content of cells and permeable membranes and stuff. I swear I memorised this years ago.)
... yes i realise that this is dated 2015, .... shows you how long its been since i've been on DA.
Hope you're feeling better!

Hope you're a bit better by now. I injured my shoulder a couple of years ago in a motorbike accident & did all the usual exercises & physio stuff so it's ok now. Sometimes I swear it just hurts for the hell of it though - you could try using a wheat bag on it, (that you can heat up for a few minutes in a microwave), or you could get yourself a tens machine.  As you probably know, a tens machine does the job on damaged muscles, bit it has a number of other uses & can be quite an interesting bit of kit to use on a well secured sub... ;o)

I feel your pain. I'm still on the mend from a year-long experience with something my ortho doc ID'd as "frozen shoulder". It was an SOB of an experience - at the worst point I could barely use my right arm for anything. Hope you are feeling better soon.

So are you drawing with... a pick-axe?  A sledgehammer?  A pry-bar?

WTF can *possibly* hurt an "arm/shoulder..connection..thing" in moving a stylus around a 25x60cm screen?

8 to ten hours of hunching over a day every day for almost 2 decades.  doctor says it has to do with my  shoulderblade to spine area

best description is i'm drawing with a few icepicks shoved under my shoulderblade and the pain radiates from there, i'd say it's a pain in the ass, but i would be misplacing the pain XD

I have that same pain when I spend hours at my desk drawing on my intuos! My chiropractor can always tell when ive been spending time at my desk because of the tension under my shoulder blade. I don't know what she does, but she's always able to "reset" it so the pain is gone. But when I'm back at the desk for long periods of time, the pain is back. It could quite possibly be our set ups that's causing us to hold our arms at an awkward position and thus causing the pain. No matter how ergonomic I try to get my set up, I still end up going back to old habits when I'm deep into drawing. I'm sure you've been asked this before, but do you have a stand up desk you could work at?

have you tried bending your arm over your head, grabbing your wrist and pulling to stretch it? I had a shoulder hurting me for over a month. I did that a bit, the muscles eased and assumable slipped back into place and it hasnt hurt hardly at all since. My entire arm was limited in motion before I figured out to do that. Regardless good luck and happiest of seasons my friend, [please feel better.

I've been seeeing a Chiropractor for years for my back and it's made a huge difference. I was getting relief inside 56 months, and was able so slow it's deterioration bigtime. Even my normal and orthopedic doctors agree it's made a huge difference. The trick is finding one that's good, not fulla crap.

It's probably your rotator cuff :O There are lots of exercises and things that can help alleviate some symptoms. I have a girl at work that managed to tear hers even though she does zero activity that would cause it issues. I'm assuming she stretched too far at work and borked it over. Maaaybe you've a similar problem.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or so they say. So we’ll all be pretty ‘fond’ of each and every post that comes our way in the fullness of time. That, or we'll all have turned into rabid fanboys, driving the wastes of the Internet looking for our Sunstone.

Now I want to write a short story of "something" stalking you IRL, and when it captures/catches you, it adjusts your neck, shoulder, arm, well ALL of you, and you suddenly find all sorts of medical and minor aches and pains CURED >_>

And then it returns to the shadows from whence it came <_<

I hope you arm gets better soon, we are all allways looking forward to the next strip. I work a lot with injurred elbows and shoulders, and would really warn you about gaming with an injury like that.

That being said, I would really like to hear what the drawing process is like. How many scetches goes into a strip? How much hardcore drawing-time does a strip take?
I imagine it must be a lot different than a newspapir strip who has put out a strip a day, but how?

Needless to say I am in no way an artist, and never will be:)
