fun stuff  

both me and my wife will be there and sketching up a storm. sketches will be free, but as it will be top cow bound i will be sketching only on blank cover comics they have there. on the bright side, you get a comic and a sketch of your choice....

will be coming soon.  the ending of the chapter is a complex  thing  to make as i feel that it needs to end on that high note, and i have it all ready, cept the very last 3strips will be a bitch to draw XD...a cool, fun yet complicated storytelling idea to make

but it will be worth it.

and then chapter 4  which will be funny sexy and dramatic... so..yknow...like the previous ones... well maaaybe with a bit more sexy and funny but with a strong dramatic moment and a very powerful payoff...so..cant wait


also almost done with reformatting of book 1 of sunstone for print, it will be about the same size as ravine, same pagecount and will consist  of first 2 chapters.

artwork for print will be upgraded on quite a few places, and dialogues rewritten and streamlined by my partner on ravine ron marz, so te printed  version will read oh so smoothly

of course, the themes ideas and everything else will remain the same , only will be  better worded

sunstone itself will be posted here as usual, al the way till the story's inevitable conclusion in chapter.... um...i dunno....12...15?...depends... there is a definite conclusion and an overarching theme to this thing.... but we are few years away from it

after that....who knows...i like this format of storytelling and i have other stories to tell, not about this , but i think, good stories....

that is not saying that i would not be doing a new sexy fun romance if the idea is clear enough XD


anyhoo, meanwhile this year will be a crazy one, issue 1 of ravine is out now, this summer issue 2 will be out aswell, and i figure by the end of the summer we might push sunstone issue 1 out aswell, but ill keep you updated on that

now i must be off, dragons and bdsm romance to draw yknow..oh with cyborgs inbetween.. cause im also drawing aphrodite 9 for top cow...farewell artifacts you were fun.....

this is a very good thing. hype needs to be kept in check.

ultimately tho , like any other story, ravine is what you bring with you into it.
if you enter as a cynic, refusing to suspend your disbelief, it will be a pile of ass. same can be said for pretty much any story.

so good, reviews, bad reviews.. it ultimately doesn't matter, it is what you get from the story
i certainly do hope you enjoy it


and since this is my sunstoena account, a bit of an update there, i am almost done with reformatting of book 1 of sunstone consisting of first 2 chapters of the comic and the new strip is in the works

with the other journal done  i have something to link about that topic. now for the brighter side of things

by the end of this week 2 new strips will be up along with a valentine day piece... unfortunately no sexytime on that one

i consider myself a fairly open minded person, and quite an easy guy to talk to.  when people want to share my pictures and strips, i take it as a compliment.  when people want to do fanarts i take it as an even greater one.

when people want to trace my stuff or use it as a reference, i say, go for it. if it helps you learn something, awesome!

when people want to edit something of mine and take the moment to ask me to do it, i usually say yes

we are all different, we all have our own little fetishes, and mine being bdsm, who the fuck am  i to judge.

but recently i have been sent a link of one of my pictures, ally and lisa as a ponygirl one edited to be a guy....and it pissed me off.
not because the picture was edited, hell not even because whoever did it ended up putting their own website watermark to it... fuck it

what pissed me off is that the person who did it couldn't take a second to ask could he or she do it. just basic  respect
cause the funny thing is, i would have said yes. we are all weird in our own way.

hell even if i got asked now, retroactively i would still allow it, its the finding out from others that annoys me

so, if you happen to see that picture, know that is was made without permission. and that, ladies and gentlemen.. is rare

also to clarify,  fanarts, im flattered by them. their existence  means i am doing something right with this story. i merely want to be warned if someone will edit my pics. hell i have given permission for that before. latest one was when a fellow deviant asked if he or she could change the colors on allycat avatar for a friend. then  this person doesn't have to justify the edit, and i dont have a swarm of notes to reply to XD



purpose of this journal btw is to be a sort of a collective reply to a growing number of notes about that picture. i don't really plan on hunting anyone down on the internet. just want to save myself the trouble of replying to the repeating note by just linking this post XD

and then , this summer, bam we are getting sunstone out too... 2013.... who knew

you probably noticed that last 2 months have been a clusterf#$k. and so will January.

my work schedule was beyond overloaded, and this January i have to finish my last issue of the artifacts comic, while pushing the issue 1 of aphrodite for top cow parallel with ravine and sunstone.

this January is where my schedule cleans up very nicely and then i can get to  spamming stuff oldschool style.


also.. just successfully converted entire first chapter of sunstone to print format ..and ended up 71 pages. since i will be publishing printed versions that contain 2 chapters per issue... the damn book will be the size of ravine...

i guess im a sucker for the graphic novel format.

now, unlike ravine, sunstone will be available here in its entirety. printed version will have  revised and improved writing and grammar + polished art.  so that those who decide to buy the book ...don't feel ripped off XD


i will probably post another strip fairly soon, but the real fun starts in february

now im off... people to draw , worlds to build XD
