Your fiancée is very right about that. Despite how people in the world are so obsessed with find a “soul mate,” being in a relationship, getting married and over emphasizing how wonderful and magical it is; it’s not guaranteed to happen at all. It’s not a like in fairytales, where your princess or prince comes into your life on a white horse. I’ve been in several relationships in my life and not one of them lasted beyond three months. Each relationship I had with someone pretty much ended absolutely horribly for me and after the last one I quickly came to the conclusion that the “tradition” of dating and being attached to the hip with someone who society has told us ever since we all were children is our “one true love” is not for me at all. In fact when you think about it, the whole thing is rather ridiculous, especially with humanity being so obsessed with the notion of finding their soul mate that there’s thousands of dating websites devoted to finding one. Also as time has passed since I’ve been in a relationship, I’ve grown up and changed greatly, I’m not the same person I was when I was with my last girl friend. The way I am now, the individual I have become has made being in a romantic relationship absolutely impossible. So it’s due to all of these reasons why I no long desire to be in a relationship with anyone ever. There was a time when I was much younger that I did, but now those feelings and urges are long dead. I know long wish for them to return.
