beautiful... I originally came across this on some porn site link and thought I was gona jack of to it, but within the first few pages and I was so into the story, I completely lost focus on what I was there originally for...
Please do continue it, don't stop. I so want to know how it all finally comes together. Keep up the AWESOME job! a 10/10 in my book, and if you are ever in the area, let me know, I will buy you coffee! ^^
This is fantastic! I love the main three. They work well as a trio. Though, looking at the two main girls, it seems like you took a bit of inspiration from Borderlands and Bayonetta for character modeling. I mean, how did the characters come about when you were creating this?
In the 16th frame, there are two typograpical errors. "THEY SPENT HOURS UPON HOURS FILLING YOU IN...NOOT THAI I ASKED THEM..." should be "...NOT THAT I ASKED THEM...". Apart from that, it's been very good so far. Thanks!
There are those rare moments when I stumble upon something new. Be it music, a show, a game, etc, that's completely different from what I've seen before or used to but incredibly awesome that it amazes me how easily I could've never known about it and so glad that I did found it. I'm only a few pages in but I can already tell I'll be enjoying this series. I see you already have quite a following but I wish you luck in any of your future endeavors and that your work's existence continues to be recognized.
Hello, I'm also a (want to be professional) writer, and you just earned yourself a reader and fan, too!
To get this out of the way, I'm a dude. No, I'm not into BDSM. Yes, I am without a doubt into lesbian romance! (I even wrote a big "Mass Effect" FemShep-hearts-Liara fanfic you can find here in my gallery, "Coda", if you're ever interested!) If I was to give a reason why, there are actually many. But I guess the main reason I'm a straight guy into lesbians is because there's a beauty and tenderness to seeing two women in love that can't be found between a woman and a guy. It's hard to really put into words, it's just my 'thing'. You first got on my radar for your awesome Valentine's Day piece you have on DA with Ally and Lisa in the middle basically melting into each other! I finally got more time to investigate what you do here and find out who the heck Ally and Lisa are because my "Coda" is finally done. I locked onto your first chapter of "Sunstone" and...well, I'm hooked!
I don't know where you learned what you did in writing and art or if it all just comes naturally for you, but I can't help give you as much praise as you can carry! It's a warm, modern (and naturally, very very adult!) take on true romance...a story of two lonely women who find each other because they can give each other something they always wanted, but like the Rolling Stones sang, they might just find they'll get what they need, which is love! <3 But of course, being Human and as you say slightly insane, they can't see they're made for each other...yet...but this ride you're taking us on is amazing just out of the starting gate!
Again, I'm not into BDSM...the prospect of being a dom or submissive scares the crap out of me! On one hand, I'd be deathly afraid of hurting someone I'm dominating; on the other hand, I could never place myself so completely at the mercies of another. I'm just a safe, old-fashioned sex kind of guy, but I'd always be open to experimentation with whoever the lady is I hope and pray I'll meet one day and fall in love with. (I won't go into the laundry list of things I absolutely WON'T do, like 'golden this' and 'farm animal that'!) I've never thought of bondage as evil or anything, even though you'll find so many examples in the mainstream media that tell us those into BDSM are freaks. Hell, I've seen some shows both explain the psychology of bondage -- the submissive is the one who's truly in control of the experience, which I learned long ago -- and then call it abnormal. Lady Heather, anyone? It's like, we're constantly shown those who take bondage in one way or the other too damn far, and they're freaks because of it. The dom is a true sadist, and therefore dangerous, and all that. And the Internet's no damn road map, with all the adult stuff involving everything from chains and whips to...uh...machines, which I'm still trying to get out of my head! But you walk us through it in a way that helps us understand the roleplaying aspects of bondage, but you don't do it in a x-rated 'in your face' kind of way. When Ally and Lisa meet, they slowly and carefully tread toward their most intimate moments, and they're so gunshy at first about possibly messing things up. They're just two responsible adults walking into unknown territory, well aware of how to step back out of it just in case. You're showing us that BDSM is just sex between two souls who honestly care for each other's feelings and health, as it should be in sexual relations period!
I love Ally and Lisa, and that can't be said enough. The insanity they share with the rest of us aside, you created two truly deep and attractive characters for us to root for...I didn't expect how much more conservative and guarded Lisa was compared to Ally. And not having found someone to truly love yet, I can absolutely feel their mutual primal yearning to no longer be alone. Alan's cool, and I'd say I'd want to see more of him, but bah, let's keep focused on our lesbian lovebirds! Yes, I'm rooting for them to fall in love, and not just because they're hot together! Essentially I came for the hot lesbians, but I'm staying for this great romance you're crafting. And yes, it's a romance not just because they feel so alone when they're apart -- after everything they do to each other in their roleplay, something as simple as a deep and passionate kiss makes them go bananas! <3 So far this story is warm, sweet, and amazingly funny at turns, and I can't wait to see what's next! Thanks for giving us so much awesomeness!
This is some of the most awesome righting about BDSM, and what it means to try to develop (and find) a loving, healthy relationship based upon kink. Not to mention a fabulous primer on safe, sane and consexual. And it's really, really, really yummy. Thank you for the passion and effort!
Wow.. you know i am honestly not really into BDSM all that much and have never read it. I am not even into lesbian works either haha but this was reccomended on another comic i was reading (about how males write lesbian stories and how females write gay stories) so i thought i'd give it a shot.
that all said; Wow! you sure know how to write a story! If you are not published in some way then you should be. Your style of writing is smooth and flowing but unique and the depth of your characters s just amzing no matter what the story is about! The plot itself is interesting int hat it is not exactly a common topic (at least that i've read) and i think you handled it very well Kudos to you!
oh my mother of god!!!!!! your art work is amazing!!! I found myself drawn more to the story and what was being thought and said ^_^ I am a mega fan now lol and girl on girl action is never bad for anyone hehe
The artwork is refreshing, in exactly the way that graphics should be for a story like this. But far more satisfying for me, the characters are truly delightful, the story is uniquely charming, and the plot, deliciously tantalizing. I worry for how you will match chapter 1 in terms of intensity and satisfaction, and fully intend to love this series regardless.
On the whole, I would rank "Sunstone" as the sort of gem that justifies my sense of pride in the internet community, a pride often challenged by, for example, Youtube comments.
This is a true "diamond in the rough."
I very much look forward to reading the rest, and thank you very much, Shiniez, for expressing this rare piece of art, and even more for selflessly sharing it with the Deviant community.
BDSM isn't something I've pushed myself into because of personal... things >_>... but lets just say that certain parts had me expressing how I am an individual who actually does know how to purr. Your story work and artwork are absolutely phenomenal, as an amateur aspiring writer I wish I had the ability to put to image my writing the way you do. Amazing stuff.
